Chivas Regal Extra 13 Yıl

Chivas Regal Extra 13 Year Old is a 40% ABV blended Scotch whisky from the Extra range of Chivas Brothers, part of Pernod Ricard, made from whiskies matured for at least 13 years. The range is designed to add an extra layer of flavour to Chivas Regal's classic blend through cask selection.

What sets the Extra range apart?

Drawing inspiration from the brand's 19th-century founders, who brought spices and spirits from around the world, Chivas Brothers developed a range called the Extra Cask Selection. In this range, part of the blend is matured in casks that previously held other spirits, alongside classic oak casks. Among the 13-year-old expressions are versions finished in Oloroso sherry, American rye whiskey, rum and tequila casks; each adds its own cask's mark to Chivas's soft, fruity house style. The age statement on the bottle shows that even the youngest whisky in the blend has rested in cask for at least 13 years.

How should it be served?

It can be enjoyed neat in a tulip-shaped glass or with a few ice cubes; a few drops of water help open up the aromas. Chivas also recommends the Extra range for reimagined classic cocktails; for the sherry-cask expression, for example, it suggests a Sangria-style mix.

What food does it pair with?

Its mature, full-bodied character pairs well with grilled red meat, mature cheese platters and dried-fruit or dark-chocolate desserts.
