Chivas Regal 15 Year Old (labelled Chivas Regal XV) is a 40% ABV blended Scotch whisky from Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard), matured for 15 years with part of the blend finished in Cognac casks. The producer positions it as the brand's celebration whisky.

What does the Cognac cask add?

Part of the blend is transferred to old Cognac casks for a selective finish after 15 years of maturation. This process gives the whisky notes of raisin and cinnamon while preserving its velvety, refined texture. The result is a golden-coloured, fruity blend.

What does Chivas Regal XV taste like?

Stewed red apple, orange marmalade, honey, cinnamon and juicy raisins are felt on the nose. The palate is soft and fruity; stewed pear, buttery caramel and caramelised confectionery stand out. The finish is round, with a light touch of honey.

How should it be served, and what does it pair with?

It can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks; because of the Cognac-cask influence, the producer recommends champagne-based cocktails such as the Chivas 75 — at celebration tables, different flavour touches can be added to such champagne mixes. Its fruity, spicy character pairs well with grilled red meat, mature cheeses and fruit desserts.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
