The Macallan Rare Cask is a no-age-statement single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, bottled at 43% ABV and produced at the Macallan distillery, part of the Edrington group. Released in a new edition each year, it is one of the bottlings that most intensely reflects Macallan's sherry cask character.
What makes Rare Cask different?
The whiskies selected for Rare Cask come from special casks that make up less than one per cent of the distillery's total stock. Only the very best and rarest sherry oak casks are used, selected and blended for their deep natural colour, pronounced raisin sweetness and velvety mouthfeel.
What does Macallan Rare Cask taste like?
The nose carries soft vanilla, rich raisin, fresh apple, lemon and orange. The palate opens with an intense, sweet raisin note, followed by vanilla, dark chocolate and citrus peel. The finish is long, rich and velvety.
How should it be served, and what food does it pair with?
It is recommended neat or with a few drops of water, sipped slowly on special occasions. Its raisin and chocolate character pairs very well with dark chocolate desserts, mature hard cheeses and roasted nuts.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.

An age check (18+) is carried out on delivery. Our Famagusta branch is open every day 09:00–00:00, and our Bafra branch 09:00–02:00 (until 00:00 on Mondays).
