The Dalmore 12 Year Old Sherry Cask Select is a 12-year-matured, 43% ABV single malt Scotch whisky from the Highlands, produced at the Dalmore Distillery, owned by Whyte & Mackay. It is an interpretation that brings the sherry cask's influence more to the fore than the standard Dalmore 12, bottled at a higher ABV.
What makes Sherry Cask Select different?
The whisky first matures in ex-bourbon casks, then finishes in specially selected sherry casks. The sherry cask strengthens warm, fruity tones such as caramelised orange, raisin and ginger. Its dark mahogany colour also reflects the influence of this cask selection.
What does Dalmore 12 Year Old Sherry Cask Select taste like?
The nose is filled with caramelised orange, ginger, sultana and flowing honey aromas. The palate shows dark chocolate, almond and cinnamon standing out, accompanied by hints of mango, cream and vanilla. The finish leaves panna cotta, sweet mango and lemon cake tones.
How should it be served, and what food does it pair with?
It is recommended neat or with a few drops of water; water opens up the sherry-derived fruit and spice notes. Its dark chocolate and almond notes pair well with chocolate desserts, while its dried-fruit character suits mature cheeses and nuts.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
