Tullibardine 500 Sherry Cask Finish is a single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 43% ABV and produced at the Tullibardine distillery in the Scottish Highlands. It belongs to the distillery's "Signature" range, and the number 500 in its name refers to the 500-litre sherry casks used for finishing.
How is it matured?
The whisky first matures in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, then is transferred for a period into 500-litre Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. It takes its dark, hazelnut-coffee colour and much of its dried-fruit character from these sherry casks. Tullibardine sits at the foot of the Ochil Hills in Perthshire; the distillery was the first to be built in Scotland after 1900, and today it belongs to the French family company Terroirs Distillers.
What does Tullibardine 500 taste like?
The nose leads with intense toffee apple notes, joined by a light touch of oat. The palate is oily and full-bodied, with warm, Christmas-like spice. The finish closes with sweet dates and a peppery spice.
How should it be served, and what food does it pair with?
Drinking it neat or with a few drops of water best reveals the sherry influence. It goes well with mature hard cheeses, dark chocolate desserts and platters of dried fruit and nuts.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
