Stolichnaya Premium

Stolichnaya Premium (Stoli) is a 40% ABV classic grain vodka produced at the Amber Latvijas balzams facility in Riga, the capital of Latvia. The brand's story dates back to 1938; the Riga facility was established in the early 1900s, and Stolichnaya has been bottled there for many years. The vodka is made from natural grain, wheat and rye, then filtered three times through a column of quartz sand and activated charcoal from birch trees. Labelled gluten-free, Stoli has, according to the producer, won more than 100 awards worldwide.

What does Stolichnaya taste like?

According to the Swiss importer's tasting note, the nose is clear, carrying butter, white pepper and sweet cream tones. On the palate it is smooth and lightly sweet, its oily texture accompanied by a fine mineral touch. The finish is clean, leaving a light anise note and a faint almond trace.

How is it served?

It can be drunk neat, well chilled, in small glasses, or served over ice. Its creamy, smooth structure also offers a balanced base for classic cocktails such as the Moscow Mule, Vodka Martini and Cosmopolitan.

What food does it pair with?

As in Baltic and Eastern European cuisine, it goes well with smoked fish, herring and pickled meze. Its buttery, almond-tinged tones also round out a platter of mature cheeses.
