Poliakov is a 37.5% ABV premium grain vodka produced in France by French drinks group La Martiniquaise. The producer states the vodka is made purely from selected soft wheat grains and undergoes a slow triple distillation in column stills. The grains are malted, milled and fermented; the resulting alcohol is then distilled into a clear, pure vodka. The brand takes its name and style from Russian vodka tradition.
What does Poliakov Vodka taste like?
La Martiniquaise describes light traces of pineapple and tropical fruit in Poliakov's bouquet. According to the notes of the World Vodka Awards 2026 jury, the nose carries mineral tones, a vanilla sweetness and light floral touches. The palate is distinctly peppery, spiced and full-bodied. The finish is dry and herbal, with light vanilla sweetness accompanied by traces of cardamom and stone fruit. Poliakov was named winner of the France category in this assessment.
How is it served?
It can be drunk neat and chilled, or served over ice. The producer particularly highlights the vodka in cocktails; it is a suitable base for long drinks made with pineapple juice, orange juice or tonic.
What food does it pair with?
Its mineral, peppery structure pairs well with seafood such as mussels, prawns and white fish. Its tropical fruit tones also offer a matching close with light fruit-based desserts.
