Grey Goose Aurora

Grey Goose Aurora is a 40% ABV limited-edition bottle from French vodka brand Grey Goose, inspired by the aurora borealis. Released as a seasonal special edition, this packaging takes its name and design theme from the northern lights phenomenon.

How is Grey Goose made?

Grey Goose vodkas are produced in France from soft winter wheat grown in northern France's Picardy region. The wheat is distilled north-east of Paris; the vodka is then blended and bottled in Cognac using calcium-rich water from a limestone-encased spring beneath the facility. The brand was created in 1997 by Sidney Frank and has been part of Bacardi's portfolio since 2004; the recipe was developed by Cognac-born maître de chai François Thibault.

How is it served?

It can be drunk chilled, neat or over ice; it is also used in simple cocktails such as the Vodka Martini, vodka and soda, and vodka and tonic. The retailer recommends a serving temperature of 6–8°C.

As a clean, elegant vodka, it offers a balanced match with seafood such as oysters and smoked salmon, sushi and light cold meze platters. Served well chilled and neat, it refreshingly balances the salty, fatty flavours of these dishes.
