OSA Whisky Club

OSA Whisky Club is a product from the golf-themed blended Scotch whisky family of Scottish producer OSA Fine Spirits (Old St Andrews). The firm's blended Scotch whiskies are bottled at 40% ABV, and the brand, which takes its name from St Andrews, known as the home of golf, is recognised for the way it brings whisky and golf together in its presentation.

Who is OSA Fine Spirits?

Run by the Gorton family, the firm launched its first Clubhouse whisky in 1969. Notable for its round, dimpled bottle resembling a golf ball, Clubhouse has since reached over 50 countries and is stocked in many duty-free stores. The firm states that its blends draw on the light, smoky character of Islay malts and the rich, fruity character of Speyside malts. The portfolio also includes other blended whiskies such as Gem of Scotland, along with gin, vodka and rum.

What is blended Scotch?

Blended Scotch is made by blending malt and grain whiskies distilled in Scotland and matured in oak casks for at least three years. This structure gives a softer, more balanced profile suited to everyday drinking, compared with single malt whiskies.

How should it be served, and what food does it pair with?

It can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as a long drink with soda and ginger ale. It pairs comfortably with barbecued food, a nut platter and mature cheeses.
