Milagro Silver

Milagro Silver is a tequila blanco at 40% ABV made from 100% blue agave grown in Los Altos de Jalisco, from William Grant & Sons's Milagro brand. Founded in 1998 by two university friends inspired by Mexico City's vibrant art scene, the tequila is produced by master distiller Pedro Juárez.

How is it made?

Agaves grown in high-altitude, red, mineral-rich soils are harvested using traditional methods. The must ferments for roughly 72 hours, a long period compared with many tequilas. It is then distilled in two different stills: the first a traditional pot still that captures the agave's fresh aroma, the second a column still that refines the drinking experience.

What does Milagro Silver taste like?

It's a crystal-clear tequila with silver glints. On the nose, lemongrass, citrus and black pepper stand out. On the palate, bright, fresh agave combines with citrus and pear notes.

How is it served, and which foods does it pair with?

The producer recommends it in a simple Margarita made with fresh lime juice and agave syrup; it can also be drunk neat, lightly chilled. It pairs well with citrus-forward, light flavours such as ceviche, grilled prawns and fresh salads.
