Tiscaz Gold (Oro) is a gold tequila at 35% ABV made traditionally from blue agave in Mexico's Jalisco state. Unlike its clear Blanco sibling, it has a golden colour and a rounder, sweetish aroma profile. Tequilas labelled gold or oro are distinguished from clear blancos by their golden colour.

What does Tiscaz Gold taste like?

The tequila opens with vanilla and fruit aromas, followed by fresh herbal and peppery notes. This balance, swinging between sweet and spiced, makes it an easy-drinking option for shots and cocktails. Retailers describe Tiscaz primarily as a tequila for cocktail use.

What is gold tequila?

Gold (oro) tequilas are darker in colour and generally smoother to drink than blanco. Their colour can be achieved through brief cask contact or blending; the aroma usually leans towards vanilla and caramel.

How is it served, and which foods does it pair with?

It can be served in a Tequila Sunrise, Margarita and citrus-based long drinks, or as a shot with salt and lemon. Its sweet-spiced profile pairs well with barbecue meats, spiced dishes and shared meze platters.
