Loch Castle

Loch Castle is a 40% ABV blended Scotch whisky offered as the own-brand product of the French retail group Carrefour. An affordably priced blend for everyday drinking, it is sold in different bottle sizes in Carrefour stores.

What is blended Scotch?

Blended Scotch is a whisky made by combining malt whiskies distilled in Scotland with grain whiskies. Under Scotch whisky regulations, every whisky in the blend must be matured in oak casks in Scotland for at least three years. Grain whisky adds lightness and softness to the blend, while malt whiskies contribute body and aroma; this is why blended Scotches are generally easy-drinking whiskies well suited to mixing.
