Lamberti Pinot Grigio Blush is an 11.5% ABV rosé (blush) wine made from Pinot Grigio grapes by Lamberti, one of Veneto's long-established wine houses, under the Delle Venezie DOC designation. The grapes come from vineyards with loose, stony soils in the provinces of Venice and Treviso.
How is it made?
Harvest takes place in the last ten days of August, to preserve fresh notes and good acidity. Vinification begins with a short, 12–18-hour cold maceration that gives the must its characteristic colour. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of around 17°C; the wine is then rested briefly in steel tanks before bottling.
What does Lamberti Pinot Grigio Blush taste like?
It has a pale colour with coppery nuances. On the nose, a distinct wildflower note combines with touches of honey and banana. The palate is measured and dry, offering a round, soft and lively structure. On the finish, a note of ripe pear lingers pleasantly.
How should it be served, and what food does it pair with?
It is best served well chilled, at around 8–10°C, and is recommended for young drinking. Starters and meze, fish dishes and cold white meats, such as chicken salad, pair well with it.
