Koskenkorva Apple

Koskenkorva Apple is a 21% ABV apple liqueur from the Koskenkorva brand, part of Finland's Anora Group, flavoured with real apple. The producer describes it as a fruit liqueur that brings Koskenkorva vodka together with natural apple components, balancing tartness and sweetness; it is also listed among the fruit liqueurs at Finland's state alcohol monopoly, Alko.

The Koskenkorva name comes from the Koskenkorva distillery in Finland's Ilmajoki region, where grain alcohol from barley is produced using continuous distillation.

What does Koskenkorva Apple taste like?

According to the producer, the palate is full, juicy and fresh with apple flavour, rounded off by a light tannic texture from the apple skin. The sweetness is balanced by the apple's tartness, giving a liqueur with a light, fruit-forward drinking style.

How should it be served?

The producer recommends drinking this liqueur well chilled on its own, or using it as a base for refreshing drinks. A simple mix with sparkling water or soda over ice makes a light long drink, especially welcome in warm weather.

What does Koskenkorva Apple pair well with?

Its apple flavour forms a natural match with fruit desserts. It can be served chilled in small glasses alongside apple pie, cinnamon cakes and fresh fruit platters, or as an after-dinner liqueur.
