Antonio Amaretto

Di Antonio Amaretto is a 22% ABV almond amaretto liqueur produced and bottled by Toorank Distilleries in Zevenaar, the Netherlands, following an original Italian recipe. Toorank has been a distillery producing liqueurs and spirits for its own brands and third parties since 1978; Di Antonio is the house's Mediterranean-inspired liqueur range, which also includes sambuca and limoncello. Its label carries a gold medal from the 2012 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

What does Di Antonio Amaretto taste like?

The producer describes it as a traditional, sweet amaretto with a pronounced, pleasant almond aroma in the taste. Amaretto, whose name comes from the Italian word for "slightly bitter", is a traditional Italian liqueur type carrying the sweet, slightly bitter aroma of almond; Di Antonio presents this classic style in a sweet, soft interpretation.

How is it served?

It can be drunk neat with ice or used in cocktails such as the Amaretto Sour, made with lemon juice. Adding a measure to hot coffee and using it in the syrup of desserts such as tiramisu are also common uses.

What food does it pair with?

Its almond note pairs well with chocolate desserts, almond biscuits and fruit tarts. It is also a good companion alongside after-dinner coffee.
