Koskenkorva Mojito is a 15% ABV, vodka-based flavoured drink made by blending Koskenkorva Lemon Lime Yarrow vodka with natural mint and lime. This product, from the Finnish village of Koskenkorva and belonging to the Anora Group, aims to bring the taste of the classic Mojito cocktail into a bottle. It is listed at Alko among flavoured alcoholic drinks and as a vegan product.
How is it made?
The vodka at its base is obtained by continuous distillation of local barley in the village of Koskenkorva. Its version flavoured with lemon, lime and yarrow extract is combined with mint and lime to give it a Mojito character.
What does Koskenkorva Mojito taste like?
According to Alko's tasting profile, the mint-green drink has a cloudy appearance and is smooth and sweet. On the palate, mint and lime are pronounced; the overall impression is a fresh, refreshing drink.
How is it served?
The producer presents the product as a ready-made Mojito in a bottle; it can be served in a glass full of ice. For a longer, lighter drink, soda can be added on top; a fresh mint leaf and a slice of lime complete the presentation.
What food does it pair with?
The freshness of mint and lime goes well with light meals in summer. Fresh salads, fruit desserts and dishes with lemon-based dressings make a refreshing accompaniment.
