Glen Turner Heritage Double Wood is a no-age-statement, 40% ABV single malt Scotch whisky from Glen Turner, part of the French La Martiniquaise group, given a final maturation in Madeira wine casks.
How is it made?
The "Double Wood" in the name describes maturation in two different cask types: after its initial maturation, the whisky is transferred to casks that previously held Madeira wine, native to Portugal's Madeira island. This final maturation adds dried-fruit, spice and nutty notes to the whisky; independent reviews note that this cask influence is measured and balanced.
What does Glen Turner Heritage Double Wood taste like?
According to Whisky Advocate's tasting notes, the nose shows cotton candy, golden raisin, cinnamon, nutmeg and hazelnut. The palate has a creamy, full texture with orange peel, mango and dried pineapple, leaving a lively freshness on swallowing. The finish leaves woody spice, nutty notes and a lasting caramel taste.
How should it be served?
The producer recommends drinking it neat or with some water so the aromas can open up.
What food does it pair with?
Its dried-fruit, spicy character pairs well with fruit desserts, mature cheeses and roasted nuts.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
