Glen Turner 12 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from Glen Turner, part of the French La Martiniquaise group, matured for 12 years in bourbon casks and bottled at 40% ABV. The producer also presents this product as "Malt Legend 12 Year Old".

How is it made?

According to the producer, Glen Turner single malts are made from malted barley: the barley is malted, dried, ground and mashed to extract its sugars, fermented with the addition of yeast, then distilled in copper pot stills. The 12-year-old expression spends its entire maturation in ex-bourbon casks, and this long period gives it a rich malt character.

What does Glen Turner 12 Year Old taste like?

The producer describes the whisky with an intense colour, a warm, deep, fruit-noted aroma and a full, soft bouquet. The long maturation in bourbon casks brings toasted vanilla, spiced oak and caramel aromas. It has a smoke-free, rounded drinking experience.

How should it be served?

The producer recommends drinking it neat or with some water so the aromas can fully open up.

What food does it pair with?

Its vanilla, caramel character pairs well with roasted nuts, mature cheeses and grilled chicken.

Nose: Warm and deep with fruity notes; toasted vanilla, spicy oak and caramel.
Palate: Full, soft and rounded.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
