Glen Talloch is a 40% ABV blended Scotch whisky prepared by blending malt and grain whiskies. According to the producer, single malt whiskies make up around 30% of the blend, and the whiskies in it are matured in oak casks for at least 4.5 years, above the mandatory three-year minimum for Scotch whisky.
What makes Glen Talloch special?
The whiskies in the blend come from different Scottish whisky regions, including Speyside, the Highlands, the Lowlands, Islay, Campbeltown and the islands. The brand's range also includes a 12-year-old blend and an 8-year-old blended malt alongside the standard blend; in the 12-year-old version, the malt proportion rises to 40%.
What does Glen Talloch taste like?
The producer describes the standard blend's colour as shimmering gold. On the palate it is a full, round blend with hints of vanilla and caramel confectionery. Its soft, easy-drinking character supports the brand's claim of being "the whisky that suits every occasion".
How should it be served, and what does it pair with?
It can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as a long drink with mixers such as cola and soda. Its vanilla and caramel notes pair well with barbecued and grilled food, as well as with nut platters.

- Full and rounded; vanilla and caramel toffee.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
