Dimple Golden Selection is a 40% ABV, no-age-statement blended Scotch whisky offered under the Dimple brand of Diageo's Haig family. According to The Whisky Exchange, this blend is distilled and blended at Cameronbridge, known as Haig's home.
What is Dimple Golden Selection?
The Dimple range also includes a 15-year-old blend; Golden Selection is the brand's no-age-statement version. Retailers describe it as a soft, maturely rich whisky that offers good value for its price. Some European retailers now list the product as discontinued, making it a bottle less often found on shelves.
How should it be served?
As a soft, no-age-statement blend, it can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as a long drink with soda and ginger ale. It also suits those looking for a balanced whisky base for cocktails. Because blended Scotch is a combination of malt and grain whiskies from different distilleries, it generally offers a soft, accessible drink.
What food does it pair with?
In generally accepted pairings, this style of soft blended whisky is served alongside barbecued and grilled meats, as well as nut platters. It offers a relaxed drink alongside light snacks.
