Corona Extra is a 4.5% ABV pale lager beer produced in Mexico by Cervecería Modelo. Created in 1925, the brand today belongs to AB InBev and is imported into Turkey by Anadolu Efes. It ranks among the world's best-selling beers.

What does Corona Extra taste like?

Made with corn alongside barley malt, Corona is lighter than traditional lagers. Pleasant malt and hop notes are felt on the nose; the palate offers a crisp, refreshing, dry drink with a round, dry finish. Its clear glass bottle is one of the brand's best-known signatures.

How should it be served?

Corona is drunk ice cold. Placing a wedge of lime or lemon in the bottleneck is a well-known serving tradition; the citrus adds a tart freshness to the beer's light body. It is usually drunk straight from the bottle. As the clear bottle offers no protection from light, storing the beer in a cool, dark place is recommended.

What does Corona Extra pair well with?

Its light, refreshing character suits hot weather and light cuisines. Grilled fish and seafood, spiced Mexican dishes and fresh salads are good matches. A lime wedge is a particularly fitting complement alongside seafood.
