The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve is a no-age-statement single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, bottled at 40% ABV and produced at The Glenlivet distillery, owned by Pernod Ricard's Chivas Brothers. It brings a tropical twist to Glenlivet's fruity house style.
What does the Caribbean rum cask add?
Part of the whisky is finished in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. This selective finishing adds tropical notes of ripe banana, mango and pineapple, along with caramel sweetness, to Glenlivet's pear- and apple-led fruitiness. The result is a lively, sweet and easy-drinking profile.
What does Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve taste like?
The nose combines the sweet notes of pear and apple with ripe banana steeped in syrup and honey. On the palate, rich caramel and toffee are followed by tangerine, vanilla and melon, with hints of pineapple and mango rounding out the tropical character. The finish is citrussy and very smooth.
How should it be served, and what food does it pair with?
It can be enjoyed neat, over ice or in cocktails. Its tropical fruit and caramel character strikes a pleasant balance with fruit-based desserts, especially banana or pineapple desserts, and with spiced dishes.

- Palate

- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
