The Glenlivet 15 Year Old French Oak Reserve is a 15-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, bottled at 40% ABV and produced at The Glenlivet distillery, owned by Pernod Ricard's Chivas Brothers. It takes its name from the French Limousin oak casks in which part of the whisky is finished.
What does French oak change?
Part of the whisky is finished in casks of French Limousin oak, a wood also widely used in cognac production. According to the producer, these casks add elegant nutty tones, ripe mango and a light cinnamon spice to Glenlivet's fruity house style. The result is a warmer, spicier and more intense profile than the 12 Year Old.
What does Glenlivet 15 Year Old French Oak Reserve taste like?
The nose leads with rich toffee, dark chocolate and spiced ginger biscuit, with a creamy, buttery texture. The palate is fruity and nutty, bringing together ripe mango, warming cinnamon and almond notes. The finish is warm, soft and spiced, leaving a lingering trace of sweet almond.
How should it be served, and what food does it pair with?
It is recommended neat or with a few drops of water. Its nutty, spiced character pairs well with mature hard cheeses, roasted nuts and dark chocolate desserts.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
