The Colonist White is a white Caribbean rum at 40% ABV from Belgian spirits producer Sodiko's The Colonist brand. The producer states that the rum comes from Trinidad and Tobago and is a blend using both pot and column distillation.

What does The Colonist White taste like?

According to the producer's description, it has a clean, neutral aroma profile with no dominant cask or spice note. This simplicity makes it a cocktail base that doesn't overpower the fruit juice, soda or liqueur it's mixed with.

How is it served?

Its most natural use is in cocktails: it's a suitable white rum for a Mojito, Daiquiri or tropical fruit mixes. It can also be prepared as a simple long drink over ice with cola or soda and a slice of lime. Due to its neutral character, it's recommended more for mixing than for neat drinking.

Which foods does it pair with?

Refreshing rum-based cocktails go well with grilled fish, prawns and lemony seafood. On the sweet side, pineapple or tropical fruit desserts make a fitting accompaniment to cocktails made with this white rum.
