Rebellion Premium Black is a dark rum at 37.5% ABV, blended from Caribbean rums and bottled in the Netherlands. The Rebellion range consists of black, white and spiced rums; the range's rums are said to come from a distillery founded in Trinidad in 1824. The brand's name is presented, in its marketing, as a nod to the spirit of rebellious sailors. Specialist retailers such as Master of Malt and The Whisky Exchange present it as a rich, cocoa-forward dark rum.
What does Rebellion Premium Black taste like?
It is described as a full-bodied, intensely flavoured dark rum. Alongside a light sweetness, dark chocolate, vanilla, salted fudge and freshly ground black pepper notes are detectable; a cocoa-forward palate is its defining feature. Its dark colour and strong aroma stand out even in mixed drinks.
How is it served?
It can be drunk neat or over ice. Thanks to its intense aroma, it also stands out in long drinks made with cola and ginger ale, and in heavier tiki-style cocktails.
Which foods does it pair with?
Its cocoa and vanilla notes go well with dark chocolate desserts and brownies. Its salted fudge and pepper touch also pairs well with barbecued meats and barbecue-sauced dishes.

- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
