Catrina Cerámica Reposado is a reposado tequila at 38% ABV made from 100% blue Weber agave, from La Cofradía's Edición Catrina range. The tequila is rested in oak casks after being distilled twice, and is presented in a hand-painted ceramic bottle.
What's the story behind the bottle?
The ceramic bottle is decorated with a colourful skull motif inspired by La Catrina, the icon of Mexico's Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) celebrations. Each hand-crafted bottle is also valued as a collectible piece.
What does it taste like?
Time spent resting in oak strikes a balance between the agave's natural freshness and soft, warm woody notes. On the nose, sweet agave, vanilla, light caramel and a fine oak are detectable. On the palate, honeyed agave, soft spice, toffee and gentle woodiness unfold harmoniously. The finish is soft and lightly warming; sweetness and oak linger for a while.
How is it served?
It can be drunk neat, over ice or in cocktails. It performs well in cocktails calling for a rounder taste than blanco tequila, such as a Reposado Margarita.
Which foods does it pair with?
Vanilla and caramel notes pair well with barbecued meats and spiced Mexican dishes. Mature cheeses also complement its oaked structure.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
