Patrón Silver

Patrón Silver is a tequila blanco at 40% ABV produced in small batches using only 100% Weber blue agave, yeast and water, at Patrón's Hacienda Patrón distillery in Jalisco, owned by Bacardi. This unaged tequila, the base of all the brand's tequilas, is the best-known product from Patrón, founded in 1989. Tequilas in the blanco class are bottled without oak ageing, so agave's own flavour reaches the glass without cask influence.

What does Patrón Silver taste like?

It has a crystal-clear, bright colour. On the nose, agave and fruit come together with citrus notes. On the palate, a sweet, soft agave character stands out; the notes described by the producer include cooked agave, honeydew melon, lemongrass and citrus zest. The finish is clean, vibrant and lightly peppery.

How is it served?

It's a versatile tequila for both cocktails and neat drinking. The producer suggests recipes such as the Margarita, Paloma, Tequila Sunrise, Ranch Water and Jalisco Mule. For neat drinking, it can be served lightly chilled.

Which foods does it pair with?

Ceviche, grilled prawns and seafood achieve a natural match with its citrus-forward structure. Light Mexican flavours such as guacamole, tacos and fresh salads are also good pairings.
