KWV Pearly Bay Rosé is a rosé wine from the Pearly Bay range of KWV, South Africa's long-established wine and spirits producer, sourced from the Western Cape region. KWV was founded in 1918 as a cooperative aimed at pulling the country's wine industry out of crisis, and it has since become one of South Africa's leading producers.

What does KWV Pearly Bay Rosé taste like?

According to the retailer's description, delicate red-berry nuances stand out on the nose, complemented by tones reminiscent of rose petals and flint that round out its fruity character. The Pearly Bay range is known for easy-drinking, fruity wines made for everyday tables.

Why does the Western Cape matter?

The Western Cape is the heart of South African wine production. The cooling effect of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans combines with a sunny climate to allow fresh wines that preserve fruit aromas. A significant part of KWV's production comes from around Paarl in this region.

How should it be served, and what food does it pair with?

The retailer recommends serving it at 10–12°C. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif, and also pairs well with various salads, poultry dishes such as chicken and turkey, and cheeses. It is a light, refreshing companion at summer tables.
