Château de Mauny Rosé d'Anjou is a 10% ABV semi-dry rosé wine from the AOC Rosé d'Anjou area of France's Loire Valley, made from Grolleau and Gamay grapes. Rosé d'Anjou is a designation known for the Loire's lightly off-dry, fruity, low-alcohol rosés.
What does Château de Mauny Rosé d'Anjou taste like?
It has an elegant, light pink colour. The nose forms a harmonious bouquet of red forest fruit, ripe peach and delicate floral notes. The palate is extremely light and balanced; a pleasant acidity finishes with a soft, lightly sweet note. This structure suits those seeking a softer drink than dry rosés.
Why are Grolleau and Gamay chosen?
Grolleau is the traditional rosé grape of the Anjou region, giving pale-coloured, fruity wines. Gamay adds freshness to the blend with its lively red-fruit aromas. Together, they define Rosé d'Anjou's easy-drinking, fruity style.
How should it be served, and what food does it pair with?
It is suitable to serve chilled, at around 8–10°C. It pairs enjoyably as an aperitif, with light salads, fresh fruit or seafood. Its lightly sweet finish also suits light fruity desserts.
