Kvint Kvintessence Malbec – Cabernet Sauvignon – Saperavi is a dry red wine from the Kvintessence series of Kvint, Moldova's established wine and brandy producer, made by blending three grapes. French-origin Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon are brought together with Georgian-origin Saperavi, hand-picked from hillside vineyards in the Codru region.
What does Kvintessence Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon Saperavi taste like?
It has a complex bouquet: notes of cream, violet, blackberry, blackcurrant and chocolate accompany one another. These aromas form a layered structure drawn from the blend of the three grapes. The wine is dry in character; in Moldova it is classified as roşu sec, meaning dry red. Dark fruit sits alongside cream and chocolate tones in the glass.
How should it be served?
As with full-bodied reds generally, it is suitable to serve at around 16–18°C. Opening the bottle about half an hour before serving, or decanting the wine, helps the bouquet open up. A wide-bowled glass may be preferred.
What food does it pair with?
Its concentrated fruit and structure suit hearty dishes such as grilled red meats, steak and lamb. It also offers a balanced pairing with mature, firm cheeses.

- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
