Clynelish 14 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Clynelish Distillery in the northern Highlands of Scotland, matured for 14 years and bottled at 46% ABV. It is the distillery's flagship product and is known for its waxy texture.
What kind of whisky is it?
Over the past twenty years, Clynelish 14 has built a loyal following among whisky lovers. It stands out for its freshness, light coastal salinity and balanced texture; its oily, waxy mouthfeel, which sets it apart from many malts, is considered the distillery's signature.
What does Clynelish 14 Year Old taste like?
The nose shows orange peel, green apple and soft floral notes; a spicy, perfumed aroma is rounded off by malt, vanilla and pastry tones. The palate combines creamy caramel and honey with a light coastal salinity, citrus and spice; a sweet-sour character reminiscent of lemon marmalade and a very light hint of peat are present. The finish leaves honey and a light salinity.
How should it be served?
It is recommended neat or with a few drops of water; its 46% ABV preserves its texture and aromas.
What food does it pair with?
Its citrusy, salty character pairs well with fish and seafood, sushi and mature cheeses.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
