Cardhu Amber Rock is a no-age-statement, 40% ABV single malt Scotch whisky from the Cardhu Distillery in Speyside, given a second maturation in toasted American oak casks.
How is it made?
Cardhu's soft, sweet spirit is transferred to toasted American oak casks after its initial maturation. This double maturation preserves the brand's easy-drinking character while adding vanilla and spice notes.
What does Cardhu Amber Rock taste like?
The nose shows fresh pear and lychee, buttery pastry, tangerine and lemon notes, followed by caramel, honey, barley sugar, vanilla and toasted marshmallow. The palate opens sweet and spicy, with apple and pear, cream and tangerine; milk chocolate and vanilla stand out at the end. The finish is quite long, sweetly spicy and creamy, leaving a trace of cocoa, toasted oak and citrus.
How should it be served?
It can be enjoyed neat, with a few drops of water, or on ice; its sweet, fruity character also suits soda-based long drinks.
What food does it pair with?
Its vanilla-forward, fruity character pairs well with fruit desserts, milk or dark chocolate desserts and mature cheeses.

- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
