Bisquit Classique VS is a 40% ABV VS-grade Cognac from the Bisquit house, founded by Alexandre Bisquit in 1819, made predominantly from eaux-de-vie sourced from the Fins Bois region. The house, which took its current name of Bisquit & Dubouché in 1846 with the partnership of Adrien Dubouché, is based at the Château de Lignères on the banks of the Charente river. The brand passed to Pernod Ricard in 1966 and to Distell in 2009, and has belonged to the Campari Group since 2017.
What does Bisquit Classique VS taste like?
According to the producer's description, the nose shows fresh fruit such as pear and plum, delicate floral aromas and a spicy undertone. On the palate these fruits meet cinnamon, oak and vanilla. The style is built on softness and freshness; independent reviews also note a light touch of black pepper and a brown sugar note. For Cognacs in the VS category, the youngest eau-de-vie rests for at least two years in oak barrels.
How is it served?
Its balanced character shows best in a plain tulip-shaped glass. It is also used with ice or in Cognac-based cocktails; a few drops of water open up its fruity sweetness.
What food does it pair with?
Its fruity, spicy character pairs well with mature hard cheeses, bitter chocolate desserts, and toasted nuts such as walnuts or almonds.

- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
