Armand de Brignac Demi-Sec is a 12.5% ABV prestige Champagne produced by the Armand de Brignac house in Champagne in a sweeter, richer style. Once reserved solely for guests at the house's Chigny-les-Roses base, this cuvée is presented as one of the brand's rare expressions.

How is it made?

The blend uses the same grape proportions as Brut Gold: 50% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier. The harvest-year wine is combined with two older reserve vintages. The difference lies in the dosage: 33 grams of sugar per litre gives the Champagne a pronounced yet refined sweetness.

What does Armand de Brignac Demi-Sec taste like?

Buttery brioche, confectionery and stone-fruit compote notes stand out on the nose. The palate offers layers of chocolate, blueberry and candied citrus. Its long, elegant finish balances the sweetness thanks to lively acidity.

How should it be served, and what does it pair with?

It is served well chilled. It pairs well with foie gras, cheeses and lightly spiced dishes; exotic fruits and baked desserts are also among the producer's recommended pairings. Its balance of sweetness and acidity makes it a good accompaniment to spiced cuisines.
