Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial is presented as the first Champagne created specifically to be drunk over ice, a 12.5% ABV demi-sec (off-dry) Champagne. Its blend, led by Pinot Noir followed by Meunier and Chardonnay, includes 20–30% reserve wine for concentration and consistency; its dosage is 45 grams per litre.
What does Ice Impérial taste like?
Its colour is deep gold with amber reflections. The nose shows the strong scent of tropical fruits such as mango and guava, the fullness of nectarine and a notable raspberry note. The palate combines a broad, fleshy structure reminiscent of a fresh fruit salad, the sweetness of caramel and quince jelly, with the refreshing acidity of grapefruit and ginger notes. It retains its fruity character even when diluted with ice.
How should it be served?
Unlike traditional Champagne, it is designed to be served over ice cubes in a large glass. You can personalise the presentation with a slice of grapefruit, a mint leaf or a few raspberries if you like. It is a refreshing option for open-air gatherings in summer.
What food does it pair with?
Its off-dry, fruity character forms a natural match with fruity desserts, fresh fruit platters and tropical fruit cakes. Fresh cheeses and light snacks can also accompany this iced Champagne.
