Russian Standard Platinum is a 40% ABV premium Russian wheat vodka produced in St Petersburg, refined through silver filtration. Like the brand's standard vodka, it is made with winter wheat grown on the Russian steppes and the glacial water of Lake Ladoga; what sets it apart is passage through the producer's own specially developed silver filter system. The producer states this slow, precise process gives the vodka a silky smoothness and an exceptionally pure finish. The brand is now part of the Roust group's portfolio.

What does Russian Standard Platinum taste like?

According to promotional notes, a pronounced citrus aroma stands out on the nose. On the palate, a neutral, smooth structure is felt, accompanied by citrus tones and sweet spice touches. The finish is clean. Promotional materials summarise this profile as a modern, refined take on vodka.

How is it served?

Drunk neat and well chilled, it best shows the smoothness brought by silver filtration. Its citrus-leaning structure also makes it a good base for a Vodka Martini finished with lemon peel, or for tonic-based long drinks.

What food does it pair with?

Caviar, smoked salmon and other fish meze are classic accompaniments. Its citrus tones also pair well with light platters of sushi and raw seafood.
