Rekorderlig Wild Berries is a 4.5% ABV forest-berry-flavoured cider made by Åbro Bryggeri in the Swedish town of Vimmerby. It is made by blending a pear-based cider with forest berries such as blueberry and raspberry; spring water from Vimmerby is used in production.

What does Rekorderlig Wild Berries taste like?

This reddish-coloured cider carries a light hint of raspberry and blueberry on the nose. On the palate it is juicy, fresh and distinctly fruity; sweetness sits at a semi-sweet level and the body is medium. Its soft fizz keeps the fruit aroma on a refreshing note.

How should it be served?

The producer's suggestion is to serve it cold with plenty of ice and a handful of fresh forest berries. A tall, wide glass with ice lets the fruit aroma come forward. The brand also uses this cider in a cocktail made with raspberry vodka and lemon.

What does Rekorderlig Wild Berries pair well with?

Its fruity, sweetish character pairs especially well with desserts: forest-berry tarts, cheesecake and fruit-based puddings are natural matches. It is also a refreshing accompaniment to lighter mains such as summer salads and grilled chicken.
