Nemiroff Original

Nemiroff Original is Ukrainian producer Nemiroff's 40% ABV vodka made to a classic recipe. One of the brand's core products, it combines "Lux" grade grain alcohol, aromatic caraway alcohol and natural honey. A nine-stage filtration, including water, is applied. The producer states the recipe has remained unchanged for decades and that Original has won gold medals in international assessments such as The Spirits Business and Tastings.

What does Nemiroff Original taste like?

The nose is measured, carrying faint spiced notes. On the palate, caraway's lightly sharp, spiced character intertwines with the soft sweetness of linden honey. The taste unfolds slowly, closing, by the producer's description, with a lightly sharp, full-bodied, warming finish. This structure, representing the classic "special vodka" style, offers a more distinct identity than plain vodkas.

How is it served?

The producer gives an ideal serving temperature of 6–8°C, at which the taste is described as full and smooth. The classic serve is small shot glasses meant to be drunk in one go. It can also be used in cocktails, though its spiced, honeyed character shows best when drunk neat.

What food does it pair with?

The caraway and honey notes pair well with the salty meze of Eastern European cuisine, such as pickles, herring and smoked fish. Grilled meats and cold meze platters also balance this vodka's spiced structure.
