Loel Zivania Grape is a 45% ABV traditional Cypriot zivania distilled by LOEL, based in Limassol, Cyprus, and operating since 1943, from the native Xynisteri and Mavro grape varieties. Zivania is a colourless, sugar-free spirit obtained by distilling grape marc together with local dry wines; under EU regulations, the name is reserved solely for grape-marc spirits produced in Cyprus.
About the producer
LOEL was founded in Limassol as a public company with thousands of grape-growers as shareholders, and its first products were spirits and wines made from native varieties. Now part of Laiko Group, the company states it first brought zivania to a wider audience by bottling it in 1996, and describes itself as the island's largest zivania producer. In 2016 the company also produced Zivana Gold, the first aged zivania, rested for at least three years in French oak barrels.
How is it served?
Traditionally, it is well chilled and drunk neat in small glasses. As it contains no aniseed, it does not turn white with water or ice; it stays clear.
What food does it pair with?
In Cyprus, zivania is usually accompanied by nuts, Turkish delight and sausage made from grape must. Regional charcuterie such as loukaniko and lountza, along with small meze plates, are also part of this tradition.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.

An age check (18+) is carried out on delivery. Our Famagusta branch is open every day 09:00–00:00, and our Bafra branch 09:00–02:00 (until 00:00 on Mondays).
