Glen Grant 12 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky matured for 12 years at the Glen Grant Distillery in Speyside; the bottle sold in Europe is 43% ABV. It joined the distillery's permanent range in 2016.

What kind of whisky is it?

Glen Grant's light, fruity spirit gains sweeter layers with 12 years of maturation, such as apple pie, caramel and vanilla. Smoke-free, elegant and easy-drinking, it offers a slightly fuller option than the brand's 10-year-old. Before it was added, only the 10-year-old expression was regularly available in the UK.

What does Glen Grant 12 Year Old taste like?

The nose shows honey, pear and apple, with light almond and citrus notes. The palate offers apple pie pastry, caramel and vanilla standing out. On the finish, fruity flavours are lasting, accompanied by a light spice. It is a bright golden-yellow colour.

How should it be served?

It can be enjoyed neat, with a few drops of water, or on ice; its fruity character also works well in long drinks such as a highball.

What food does it pair with?

Its apple and caramel character pairs well with fruit desserts, especially apple pie, grilled chicken and mature cheeses.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
