Cubic is a 6.3% ABV West Coast-style IPA from craft brewer Brewart. Brewart names its beers after art movements, and Cubic takes its name and label design from Cubism. The producer states that its beers are brewed without pasteurisation and/or filtration.
What does Cubic West Coast IPA taste like?
Brewed with top fermentation, Cubic is hop-forward. According to Brewart's description, waves of tropical fruit aroma come through on the palate, joined by notes of berries, citrus and stone fruit. Its bitterness rating is 39 IBU. The producer says its bitterness is more balanced than Surreal's, in the same range, aiming for an easy-drinking IPA.
How should it be served?
IPAs generally show their hop aromas better when served slightly less cold than lagers, at around 7–10°C. Pouring into a wide-mouthed glass helps open up the aroma.
What does Cubic pair with?
Its pronounced hop bitterness and fruity aroma create a good contrast with spicy dishes. Barbecued meats, burgers and spicy dishes are classic IPA pairings. It can also accompany the grill-heavy spreads of Cypriot cuisine.

- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
