Burgaz Rakı Göbek

Burgaz Göbek is a 45% ABV heart-cut raki from Antalya Alkollü İçecek Sanayi A.Ş., which produces its own agricultural alcohol at the Antalya Organized Industrial Zone. "Göbek" (heart) is the middle portion of the raki distillation; at Burgaz, the distillation is divided into five sections, and only the third section is bottled for this raki. Production uses dried grapes and spring water from the Taurus Mountains. Alongside raki, the company also produces vodka, gin and liqueurs, and sources the alcohol it uses for distillation from wheat itself.

What does Burgaz Göbek taste like?

According to Degustasyon.net's tasting notes, this raki whitens well with water, and its nose shows intense aniseed and rested alcohol. On the palate, aniseed sits just right and the alcohol is clean and smooth. The overall impression is an easy-drinking, mature and balanced raki.

How is it served?

It is drunk in the classic way in a narrow-waisted raki glass: raki first, then cold water, which turns it milky white. Ice can be added last if preferred.
