Bols Peppermint Green is a 24% ABV mint liqueur produced by Lucas Bols in Amsterdam, with a bright green colour. Bols states it has produced mint liqueur since the 19th century; this type, also known as crème de menthe, is one of the brand's most established classics.

What does Bols Peppermint Green taste like?

According to the producer, the liqueur's aroma comes from natural mint leaf extract and carefully selected fresh herbs. On the palate, a cool, lively mint taste stands out, balanced by sweetness. Its intense green colour is one of the main reasons it is chosen to add both freshness and visual vibrancy to cocktails. It is a vegan product.

How is it served?

Mint liqueur is usually drunk as an after-dinner liqueur, with ice or well chilled, in small glasses. In cocktails it is used in recipes such as the Grasshopper, made with mint liqueur, cream and cacao liqueur, and minty takes on the Mojito.

What desserts does it pair with?

Mint and chocolate is one of the best-known dessert pairings. Alongside bitter chocolate cakes, brownies and chocolate ice cream, a small glass of cold mint liqueur balances the chocolate's intensity with a cool freshness.
