Bols Strawberry is a vivid red, 17% ABV strawberry liqueur produced by the Dutch company Lucas Bols. Part of Bols' fruit liqueur range, whose history traces back to a distillery founded in Amsterdam in 1575, it is made, according to the producer, using only natural ingredients.

What does Bols Strawberry taste like?

Its nose is full of sun-ripened strawberries, with a light bouquet reminiscent of orchard fruit in the background. On the palate, a strong but not overly sweet strawberry taste comes forward, accompanied by a light citrus tartness. It is a vegan product.

How is it served?

Bols Strawberry is a versatile base for both fruity and creamy cocktails. It can be used in classics such as the Strawberry Daiquiri and Strawberry Margarita, as well as in creamy mixes in the style of vanilla or cheesecake. For a simpler drink, it can be lengthened with soda or sparkling wine over ice.

What desserts does it pair with?

Its strawberry aroma makes a natural match with fruit desserts: it can be served cold alongside strawberry cheesecake, fruit tarts and vanilla ice cream. Thanks to the classic pairing of strawberry and chocolate, milk or bitter chocolate desserts are also a good complement.

Nose: Sun-ripened strawberry and a light orchard-fruit bouquet.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
