De Kuyper Blue Curaçao

De Kuyper Blue Curaçao is an intensely blue, 20% ABV orange liqueur produced at the De Kuyper distillery in Schiedam, the Netherlands. The liqueur is made from distillates based on the laraha fruit grown on the Caribbean island of Curaçao; laraha is the bitter orange variety associated with the island's curaçao liqueurs.

What does De Kuyper Blue Curaçao taste like?

According to seller descriptions, the liqueur is based on a combination of distillates from citrus fruits such as orange and lemon, along with Caribbean fruits. On the palate, a fruity, pronounced orange taste comes forward; the sweetness is balanced by the citrus's lightly bitter peel notes. Its deep blue colour makes it primarily a colour and aroma component in cocktails.
