Ardmore Legacy is a no-age-statement, lightly peated single malt Scotch whisky from the Ardmore Distillery in the Highlands of Scotland, bottled at 40% ABV. It replaced the distillery's previous Traditional expression in 2014.
How is it made?
Legacy is prepared from a combination of roughly 80% peated and 20% unpeated malt. Known for producing peated whisky in the Highlands, Ardmore presents a balanced whisky with this ratio, where the smoke is present but not dominant.
What does Ardmore Legacy taste like?
According to the producer's notes, the nose shows heather honey, cinnamon and toffee sweets, with a light peat smoke behind them. The palate opens with creamy vanilla and spice, followed by charcoal smoke that becomes more pronounced with a splash of water; honey and spice balance this smoke. The finish is dry, lightly sharp and long, with spice notes lingering.
How should it be served?
It can be enjoyed neat, with a few drops of water or on ice. Its light smoke offers a gentle introduction for those wanting to try peated whisky, and it also works well in highball-style long drinks.
What food does it pair with?
Barbecued meats, mature cheeses and roasted nuts accompany this smoky, honeyed whisky well.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
