The story of Yeni Rakı

Yeni Rakı was launched during the period when raki production was handed to the state enterprise Tekel, and takes its name from this "new" era. After privatisation, the Mey company bought Tekel's spirits division, and Diageo acquired Mey in 2011. The brand today offers different expressions such as Âlâ, Ustaların Karışımı, Yeni Seri and Uzun Demleme.

How is it served?

Chilled, it can be drunk diluted with cold water or neat in a raki glass; ice is added last.

What food does it pair with?

A classic meze table, grilled fish and seafood, and white cheese are its best-known pairings.
