Volim Karpuz Çilek

Volim Watermelon Strawberry is an aromatised wine-based drink made by adding watermelon and strawberry flavours to a wine base, sold in a small bottle. This variety in the Volim range brings together summer fruits and is made for those looking for a fresh, fruity drink. Unlike classic wine, it has a pronounced aroma and belongs to a light, sweetish style of drink.

What is an aromatised wine-based drink?

This category covers drinks based on wine and enriched with fruit or herbal flavours. Wine's own distinctive taste recedes into the background; what stands out is the added fruit aroma. This gives it a character close to ready-made cocktails, easy to drink. It is a product type commonly found at off-licences and drinks shops in Turkey and Cyprus.

Who makes Volim?

Volim is listed alongside the Kırbıyık brand in price lists. The same producer's shelves also carry ready-made cocktail varieties under names such as Cosmopolitan, Margarita and Mojito. The Volim range comes in different fruit flavours; watermelon-strawberry, strawberry, forest fruit and peach-orange are among them.

How is it served?

It is drunk well chilled, straight from the bottle or in a glass full of ice. Served with a few fresh strawberries or a mint leaf in the glass, it makes for a presentation suited to summer evenings. It is recommended to consume it soon after opening.

What food does it pair with?

Fruity desserts, ice cream and fresh fruit platters form a natural match with the watermelon-strawberry aroma. Nuts and light snacks are also good company for a picnic or a chat on the balcony.
