Nemrut Raki is a 45% ABV raki produced by Sema İçkileri in Famagusta, Northern Cyprus's oldest drinks factory. Sema İçkileri was founded in 1975 by Selim Süren and began raki production in 1979; Nemrut is the company's best-known raki brand.
About the producer
Sema İçkileri's first product was a Cyprus brandy called "Old John", named after a British chemist. Over time, the company built up a range of more than 100 products spanning liqueurs, soft drinks and drinking water. Its portfolio includes rakis such as Nemrut, Sema Rakı and Şıra Rakı, alongside brandies such as 81 Cyprus Brandy and Salamis Brandy. The Nemrut brand also made headlines in 2021 with a limited-edition 8-year-old special series.
How should it be served?
Traditionally, it is drunk from a narrow-waisted raki glass, with raki poured first and cold water added afterwards; the drink turns milky white once water is added. Ice, if wanted, should be added last.
Which foods does it pair well with?
It is a natural part of a Cypriot meze table: halloumi, olives, fresh herbs, hummus and various cold meze dishes, as well as grilled fish and seafood.

- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.

An age check (18+) is carried out on delivery. Our Famagusta branch is open every day 09:00–00:00, and our Bafra branch 09:00–02:00 (until 00:00 on Mondays).
