Nemrut Rakı Gold is the Gold version of the Nemrut raki range produced by Sema İçkileri in Famagusta, North Cyprus, and appears in the producer's product list under the name "Nemrut Gold". Sema İçkileri was founded in 1975 by Selim Süren and is known as North Cyprus's oldest drinks factory.
About the producer
The company's first chemist was a retired spirits chemist from England, and its first product was a Cypriot brandy named Old John after him; traditional raki production began in 1979. Liqueurs were added to production in 1982, and fruit juices and soft drinks in 1990. Today Sema İçkileri produces more than 100 alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and Nemrut is the best-known raki brand in its portfolio. In 2021, the brand also stood out with a limited special range blended from rakis rested for 8 years.
How is it served?
In keeping with raki tradition, it is drunk in a narrow-waisted glass, diluted with cold water; it turns white when water is added. Those who wish can add ice last.
What food does it pair with?
It pairs easily with Cypriot mezes such as halloumi, olives, fresh herbs and hummus, and with seafood such as grilled fish, squid and octopus.

- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.

An age check (18+) is carried out on delivery. Our Famagusta branch is open every day 09:00–00:00, and our Bafra branch 09:00–02:00 (until 00:00 on Mondays).
